Changing Behaviours

The challenge: The MD of a large UK based supply company approached us to help one of his managers. She was highly effective in her role but struggled to build relationships and influence her peers and line manager effectively. This had resulted in some conflict and an atmosphere of unrest amongst the wider team.

The approach: We began with a self-assessment, using effective questioning techniques and psychometric testing. This generated an objective, non-biased opinion of her strengths and development areas and helped her understand that she had to change if she wanted to improve working relationships. We then provided one to one coaching to help her develop skills such as influencing and managing conflict.

The outcome: The manager now feels accepted within her peer group. Relationships and communication between departments have improved, allowing the business to grow at a rapid rate instead of focusing on minor internal issues.
